Hello — I am Teresa Mize, a local farmer in Norman, Oklahoma. My farm has been around for 40 years. My husband and I took it over in 2004. We raised four children on the property. We are well known at the farmers market in Norman.

We grow a variety of produce, plants, and flowers. You will find tomatoes, squash, zucchini, peppers, beans, okra, cucumbers, the occasional cantaloupe or corn, house plants, bedding plants, tomato and pepper starts, and homemade baked goods when the oven has been on.

In 2021 my husband unexpectedly passed away, leaving me with the farm. I lost half my income and half my labor. Since he passed, I have still been trying to keep the farm going.

I am truly dedicated to this and want to keep my farm going. We really need to keep all our local farmers producing food — only about 1.5% of the population are farmers.
